Hello Everyone,

I live in North Carolina, and I am 34 years old.

I am the mother of three beautiful and talented children. My oldest daughter is 16, my son is 13, and my youngest daughter is 12.

I was married once, but am divorced now. So, it's just my kids and I living in my household.

We all stay really busy! And, just like most people we are just trying to make a good life for ourselves and others in this world.

We love animals. We have a dog named Riley. He's a greater swiss mountain dog mix. He's our big ole' baby.

We have an orange kitty named Ella "funt" Enchanted. Say her name out loud if you don't get it. She showed up at my door, beaten and starved nearly two years ago. The vet said she'd have died very soon if we hadn't taken her in. Her left eye was in really bad shape where she'd been kicked in the head, she is partially blind in that eye now.
I named her Ella Enchanted hoping to give the little mite some luck. It must have worked (along with food, love and lots of vet bills).. lol because now she's this fat healthy kitty. So we had to add the "funt" to her name.. lol She will lay on her back and play with 80 pound Riley... That's a sight to see for sure!! Especially when she was barely 4 pounds.

And we have a little Beta fish named Dusty. He reminds me of a puppy when he gets excited about feeding time. He's so cute.

I love to study religions, and different cultures. Witchcraft, and pagan religion in general have been my main focus for a long time. Native American religion has also intrigued me very much. I have strong Cherokee roots so their pre-christianity religion is very interesting to me.

I've been a member of Lady Elaine's MSN based websites for years. All the ones that I knew about that is. Lady Elaine, you are the BEST! Thank you, and your moderators for all the hard work you do on these sites. I can't tell you just how much places like this mean to me.

Blessings,

LJ

welcome home Lady Jade,

It is delightful to have you here! Settle in, grab something to drink and stay a spell! We have some wonderful Souls here, and I beleive you will fit right in. It does beat the crud out of MSN, as CoyoteMoon said, with much more to do and see...and no "big brother" watching over us.

If there is anything you need, just drop us line. I look forward to sharing wisdom with you in the days to come!

Blessings Bright and Dark,

Hello Lady Jade,

NC has a wonderful pagan community for the South. Ella sounds adorable. I'm partial to my rather plump cat, Lotus, but I'm putting her on a diet shortly. Well, I look foward to reading you in the forums. Enjoy the site! Very Happy

Hello and welcome, Lady Jade! And thank you for introducing us to your wonderful and diverse household Very Happy I have a cat named Hampton who was given to us by a former New York Mets catcher, and the vet just told us that if we didn't make her exercise more, she was going to be a pretty hefty tabby in the future Shocked

Hello Lady Jade,

Its great to hear about your family, I love to hear people talk about there critters! They become such an important part of our lives.
We have a bunch at our house, my 6 year old Dobie’s full name is Lady Jade Arwin. So I am already fond of your name. We have a new pup, a rescue 7 month old yellow lab we named Jasper(he didn’t respond to his old name). I know what you mean about the Bata my 3 kids each have one and they do respond like a exited dog when feeding time comes its funny.. We also have a big fish tank with other fish, but in there we have Doode who is a 9 year old cat fish yes you can get attached to a fish, two parakeets (baby & tweetie)a bunny (fluff)and some chickens & bees. O ya and a husband and a father in-law..
Wink

MM Welela,

I really enjoyed hearing about your family too.
Wow, that's so cool that your Doberman's name is Lady Jade too!!! I've always loved that breed. I want to get one someday. Mr. Riley man is a greater swiss mix, and Doberman was in there orignal line of breeding.
I have a good friend with a beautiful full bred Dobie, and she's just a big baby. Very good natured and beautiful.

Labs are great dogs too. It's good for Jasper that he has found a loving home. These animals are so pitiful when they don't have homes. They need help so much. Sometimes, I just wish I could rescue them all.

You are so right! You can get attached to fish. They really do have there own personalities. Your catfish's name is so funny. I like Doode..

I used to have a big 55 gallon tank with Angel fish in it, etc. It's SOOO much work to keep it clean and healthy. When the kids and I moved out on our own, I had to give up keeping the large tank.

Birds are fun too. We have had parakeets too. They never get friendly with us though. And always seem to stay afraid of us and will bite the living daylights out of you if you try to touch them.

I've gotten them really young trying to, for lack of a better term, make them like us better. lol

But, it never works. I tried to find somewhere that sells hand-fed from birth baby parakeets. But, I've been told that it's a lot of work to raise hand fed birds. And parakeets just aren't a "high-dollar" bird and are not worth the extra work for the money they could sell them for. Which makes sense I guess.

I've never had rabbits, chickens or bees though.. lol

I have however had a husband... and a father in law before.. hmmmm... I've decided to let somebody else rescue those for now.. lol

Gotta run and get back to work. Inventory today.. arrgh!

LOL Yup my Lady Jade is the queen of the house, or should I say the baby of the house..

Ya the birds are tricky, you have to really work to make them like you, we used to have one that used to brake out of its cage and find you where ever you where and clime up your leg to you shoulder. He was a people lover!!(and that was his down fall) he broke out one day and was fallowing my oldest daughter into the bathroom, she didn’t know it, she was about 10 at the time, and she turned and stepped on him. It still plagues her to this day off Corse!! But we have not found one since like him! Baby was first a few years after, and he likes to be taken out to socialize, and take a bath, he likes to play in my plants etc. And tweetie is new,(I felt bad that baby didn’t like the new dog) and yes the baby bird bites like a viper. But is getting better at being handled, I think the shock of the store and who knows before that, is hard on them.

And if I could trade the hubby in for another dog I would really I would!!! Twisted Evil
