Good morning, I thought I would share a bit of spring that has come to my home..

The other day it was beautiful out so I opened my sliding glass door to the deck, I didn’t close the screen because other than my bees there aren’t many critters out yet. There are two bird feeders out on the deck so there’s always a bustle, but I was working and heard more commotion than usual in the kitchen. When I went to see what was going on, there where two little Wrens in my kitchen, one took off past me in the house the other sat in my plants at the door. So I went over and opened the slider all the way for him and went to coax out the little female. They both easily made it back out side, but left me wondering why they had come in..

I noticed them gathering debris from my garden following them, I noticed out side my kitchen window in my clothes pin bag they had found what they considered a good nesting spot.. I guess I wont be hanging my clothes out for a few, I will have to pull out the rack from the cellar.

Not the best pics but I didnt want to spook them..

How great it is to have a nest in your clothes pin bag,in our old house we had 2 doves come every year to build there nest right by the front door,it was great when the baby doves would hatch,to watch how they were taken care by both adult doves,it was truly amazing.BLESSINGS TO ALL

I have looked the wrens up in my animals speak book (Ted Andrews)
Keynote: Resourcefulness and boldness
Cycle of power: Spring
And it says in the Pagan traditions, wrens were considered sacred to the earth gods and goddesses. It has been thought a bird that stole fire from the sun and brought it to earth, giving it its short, cocked tail feathers.
Among many other things in the book it said Wren holds the medicine for using what is available, and it can teach you the most effective means to build within your own environment.

I love Morning Doves that must have been wonderful!
We have always talked to them, my youngest is now very good at there call.
I am looking forward to the young ones..

Thanks for posting the pics. Isn't watching the winged ones from a window one of the grandest things to do? We call it 'cat tv' at my house and all of us watch! Laughing

LOL that is very cute.

They come in your house and are like hmmm what's for lunch...

I think they might be telling you not to do your laundry for a while, have someone else do it. Laughing

I enjoyed letting the squirrils and such stay in my trees. Its always fun to see that every spring theres more of them lol. I leave the birds food all the time. They deserve it, theyre coming back from the south.

Blessed be,

"The Spirits have all but fled judgement
I rot, alone, insane,
Where the forest whispers puce laments for me
From amidst the pine and wreathed wolfsbane
Beyond these walls, wherein condemned
To the gloom of an austere tomb
I pace with feral madness sent
Through the pale beams of a guiltless moon
Who, bereft of necrologies, thus
Commands creation over the earth
Whilst I resign my lips to death
A slow cold kiss that chides rebirth
Though one last wish is bequathed by fate
My beauty shalt wilt, unseen
Save for twin black eyes that shalt come to take
My soul to peace or Hell for company"
