First of all, I want to say "Thank you" to all of you for all of your kindness and support, it is truly appreciated.
Now on to the news; I took Sam to the pediatrician yesterday. After waiting almost an hour to see her,

, She talked to us quite a bit. She drew 3 vials of blood, to retest Sams levels, and also had her fill out 2 different forms regarding anxiety and depression.
When she returned, she stated that she will call me with the results sometime during the week, hopefully she will be able to get them soon, and also that Sam is suffering pretty extreme anxiety and depression, which she is starting to treat with "Buspar". She is also looking for a "Good" clinical psychiatrist or pyschologist she can refer Sam to. She asked me if I felt comfortable with any in the area, and I told her of one I refused to let my child see.She has concerns( or so it seemed to me) about the "professionalism" of most of the Dr.'s here in most fields. She will call me regarding what she finds about that also. She flat out told me that the schools didnt care one tad about childrens health, that is was "all about the money they get for the child attending that school". She filled out the form the school gave me, stating Sam had anxiety/Depression issues, and she required tutoring until meds are adjusted properly. She says she wants to seem Sam in one month to see whats going on and make further adjustments or what not. She was very kind and supportive and treated Sam as a person she cared about, and talked to us and acknowleged us as concerned parents. It was a relief to see this Dr and even Sam was relaxed and not stressed talking to her. So far so good! Oh my hubby got his throat looked at, due to him having Thyroid, and was told his is in bad shape and needs to be scanned! Then on the way home we got caught in a "white out" blizzard!! Boy was that stressfull for a while!!
This morning tho- the Special Education person called to see what we had learned. She was blunt and rude for the most part. I told her everything we had learned. She kept saying "Oh really, hmmm" and it seemed like I was talking to someone who didnt like us or our child, and doubted everything I said. I told her I would be returning the form to the school and also a copy of her perscription from the Dr, and that Sam required tutoring. She wasnt to happy about it. She stated that Sam would probably be able to go to the District office to get help with the work she didn't understand. I told her I was sorry, but being we only have one vehicle and that my hubby used it for work, Sam required that a tutor come to her home. (I know that this is possible, as one of the older daughters friends had a tutor come to his home to help). This didnt make her happy either. Oh well, they are supposed to help her, not do what is convient for them.
I have made copies of everything about Sams meds and the form for the school for myself, the school and the Circut Court Judge I have to see on Friday. Hopefully I will also have heard somthing regarding the Thyroid tests by then. I dont know what is going to happen, we may still be fined and put on probation, but I am not giving up.... please keep Sam in your thoughts. She needs all the support she can get.
