I've always enjoyed Holy Blood, Holy Grail. It has three authors, Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln. It a nice accordance of the knights templar.

I don't know why but I've always enjoyed the knight's templar. They make me think all the time lol.

I had that book, lent it to someone, and they never returned it! (haha, you just reminded me of that!!) I'll consider a gift to them

It's a good read, although it was slow-going for me. But I do love a challenge.

This sounds like a book need to read! I loved DaVinci Code (the book) not the movie which pissed me off since the whole character of Robert Langdon was changed along with a much watered down and altered plot. (If interested, see full rant in the DaVinci Code thread) LOL.

Most people who say they like the movie haven't read the book. I am at a loss as to how anyone who has read the book and understood it CAN like the movie. I have no idea why it bugs me so much except that I looked very forward to the movie thinking it would be as good as the book. (Should have known better though). Very few movies are even close.

I am very interested in reading this book now though. I'll pick it up. Thanks for the reference.

larc, your post made me smile with understanding. I've got "loaned" books that became unintentional gifts!
My books are precious to me. I usually don't loan them out. I'm gonna have to go beat my brother!! He's got my Anne Rice book "Memnoch the Devil". At least it was a paperback and fairly easy to replace.
