Hello all, I was referred to this page by my wife, as she knows I have many interests. I am in fact a Satanist, one however that has a very open mind and a totally different idea on how nature works. If you want I can give details on that but it would take awhile lol. Any who I am used to sites having introductions so this was the first place I looked for. Let me know if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them and I hope to gain much from this site as well as contribute where i can.

Greetings & welcome to OdSS, DLaVeY. I think I got an inkling as to your interests from your name. Also, I remember someone mentioning their hubby being a Satanist on another thread but, seeing as how the mind is the first thing to go, cannot recall who it was at present.

I don't think you'll get too many takers on the info.... We believe in the duality of the Spirit & don't recognize Satan - it is a purely Christian concept that doesn't make its way into the mindset of most of those here. We do have those who venture toward the Darker Side & have some info on it posted, but I've not encountered any here who refer much to Satan, save the occasional Bible-thumper who attempts to come in & stir the cauldron & who are usually run off promptly by myself or another of the mods with more persnickedy dispositions.

I was hoping that someone might bring up the common misunderstanding that Satanist worship Satan. It is in fact not the case at all. In fact Satanists do not believe in Satan either. Anyone who would claim to be a Satanist who believes in Satan as the xtians do has never even read the works of Anton LaVey and in fact bug us as much as they do you. We do in fact worship self as a god. Which really isn't much different than the belief that the gods a part of you as you are a part of they. The reason we call ourselves Satanist is in the meaning of the word Satan which means adversary which is what we are the adversaries of organized religion. I am a bit more complex though on my beliefs as I admit to the power of magick and recognize the fact that certain names of what most call gods do indeed resonate with power and lend power into one's own magickal workings. I assure you I am not here to stir things up, only to learn from you all and share knowledge with you all gained from my sources.

I felt that this would be the best place to post this as this is the first place I posted whom I was and what path I had chosen.There has been a change I am no longer satanist I have given it up in order to come back to Paganism. Though Satanism had allowed me to grow mentally and gave me a healthly dose of self reliance and self worth it lacked spiritulism which means while the physical was florishing the spirit was dieing to compinsate and keep balance...not good at all. There were many other reasons for my decision that had to do with satanism in and of itself and its rapid decline from what it was but will never be again. The Pagan path feels to be a higher right path for me and so I am returning to that which gives me happyness and allows for better balance within.
