I love anything by Dean Koontz - Watchers, The Odd books

I love anything by Neil Gaiman - Neverwhere, Stardust - which is now a movie coming out

I really enjoyed the Rhapsody books by Elizabeth Haydon

I love Christopher Moore he tells a great story, as well he is very funny. I got my Dad hooked on him.

Too many to name.

Though lovers be lost love shall not;

LOL! My son-in-law got me hooked on Christopher Moore - love his stuff, so irreverently funny!

I've been enjoying Gregory Maguire's "Wicked" as well, and his sequel, "Son of a Witch" - but it's edgy, and I'm not sure I like the endings. I prefer everything to wrap up in a neat package with happily ever afters (my Pollyanna is showing, let me just tuck that back out of sight, there, all better); and he definitely does not go there.

I also really enjoy a Canadian author, Charles de Lint. "Spirit House" is one of my favorites of his. Combines Celtic lore with Native American spirituality - two of my favorite topics!

I really enjoy a "happy ending" as well, but I do like the bit of dark twist Gregory Maguire puts into his work.

Oh I really liked Blue girl by Charles de Lint, that was one of his Teen books. Even tho I'm 25 I still enjoy some of the teen reads, they are very good. I have to ask my friends to loan me some C. de Lint Books, because I like his style of writing. I have so much to read, but it's on my to do list.

Christopher Moore's A Dirty Job Was Awesome! If you haven't read that one yet, it's in soft cover now.

Eve- I sooooo agree with you on Neil Gaiman, he is awesome. I got into his work when I read "American Gods".... can't wait until Stardust comes out.
I also have his audiobooks on my Ipod, he reads most of his own stories- he is such a great storyteller. I love to listen to them over and over.

My other fave is Augusten Burroughs ("Running with Scissors").

Read

gotta feed the brain ...

I've been meaning to read Running with Scissors. I just hear good things about it and I haven't done it yet. Another book on my To Read list.
