Im just curious to where followers practice.
This is general question, cause im just curious to where we practice.

I personally found a nice park on base, and since lights out isnt till 2300,
I usually go there with my friends GRaham and Jourden.
We spend and hour out there usually.
Its got a few oak trees surrounding a nice patch of grass  And since the wintertime is beautiful for moonlight,
well lets just say its serene.  A nice break from the hustle and bustle haha. COuld use some rose bushes =]

Anybody care to share?

"The Spirits have all but fled judgement
I rot, alone, insane,
Where the forest whispers puce laments for me
From amidst the pine and wreathed wolfsbane
Beyond these walls, wherein condemned
To the gloom of an austere tomb
I pace with feral madness sent
Through the pale beams of a guiltless moon
Who, bereft of necrologies, thus
Commands creation over the earth
Whilst I resign my lips to death
A slow cold kiss that chides rebirth
Though one last wish is bequathed by fate
My beauty shalt wilt, unseen
Save for twin black eyes that shalt come to take
My soul to peace or Hell for company"

Beaches are always beautiful at night hehe.
I just wanted to see if anybody goes anywhere out of the ordinary,
or if theyve converted a room in their home etc etc.

I'm grateful for wherever I happen to be, inside or out.

most of the time all my 'practices' take place in places not even on this plane. IE in my own little world.

It is wherever and whenever. It is my lifestyle. It is me. It is within you....and you need not have a name or a designated place. All you have to do is listen to the voice within, and you are there...you are home.

If you cant explain it simply, you dont understand it well enough.-- Albert Einstein

Isn't that always the best, though?  You don't have to worry about trespassing laws and whether or not the local bible camp is going to sneak up on you.  You don't have to pack your "stuff".

Converting a room in the house is a luxury many people don't have the space for.  For me, I'm moving from 750 Sq. to 550 sq. (apx), so it's not as easy to eke out my own little corner.  If you were to see my place, though, I have a lot of pretty cool knick-knacks laying around that, unbeknownst to the rest of my visitors, have a rather interesting "night life", as does my coffee table.  (Even Mr. K doesn't know half the stuff I do with most of the stuff I have... Confused  Twisted Evil )

One thing that I like to do is to perform magick in public that no one is remotely aware of.  A simple charm spoken in my thoughts and a simple symbol drawn in the sawdust at the school playground that no one realizes is even a symbol...visualizations during my prep period where I can go anywhere I want to go and do anything I want to do in the comfort of my desk chair.  Magick can be performed anywhere you want it to be...or no where.

Depends on what I am doing...

I'll agree with Lady E in that it is within each of us.  This is good for doing work on behalf of others because it allows me to work where I am when the need is expressed.

When I need extended time to myself, for whatever reason, I take a walk.  There is a nature path from my place that leads to the Garden of the Gods.  I practically grew-up in the Garden so I know where it is easiest to completely disappear from everyone ranging from tourists to park rangers.

This work great for me since the greater portion of my totem animals or familiars are non-domesticated animals.  It is about 2 miles to reach the spot I favor, 90% of which is in a natural state so the animals are nearby and I start talking and calling to them as I walk.  By the time I arrive, I feel their presence all around. I have had plenty of time to clear my head of mundane or social concerns and am fully immersed into the natural world.

...now if I stay in that realm is a different matter all together.

I generally work at home, in my car or where ever I am.  Formal rituals I do at home.

When I lived in Albuquerque there was a small canyon that I discovered one day while running the dogs.  If you hiked up into it and then did a little climbing you got to a huge shelf or step that was another level of the canyon.  This was in my pre-pagan days so I didn't go there to do magick, but it had such a wonderful feeling that I went there regularly for years, just enjoying the good energy and talking to the rocks.
The last time I was there, the opening to the canyon was blocked by concrete flood control and 8ft fences with razor wire.  So I guess the spirits up there don't get many visitors these days.
This is the only place that I can think of that I have visited and that I know was an energy center.  If I found another I would definitely make use of it for magick.

Celestite, that reminds me of an incredible place I used to go to with my friends (when I was just a young dabbler).  It was up North of Spokane in an old military radar station.  My Dad had been stationed up there in the 50s, but it is abandoned now.  It is perched, literally, on top of a mountain, which is absolutely gorgeous!  We'd go up there and watch the clouds hang down in the valley below.  There were all kinds of wildlife up there and we would sit and meditate together.  (Well, and do all the other things young'uns do).  The energy there was intense!  You don't find a place like that very often.  I haven't really found a place like that in Houston, but, here I'm very much in the center of the city, where there are too many distractions.   Sad

Within me, on a "different" plane, as LE and Novia say.  Especially when I'm working (animal hosp.) I help those animals who are being euthanized to cross over.  Most times, their owners are too traumatized with the emotion of the moment to help and I don't like to think of confused animal spirits wandering through the hospital trying to figure out what happened or where to go.

In good weather I go to my beloved swamp that backs up to my property.  The Indians called it "Chu-de-na-any", which means "where the sun shines out".  It is state owned but there is no development or management of any kind.  They leave it alone, and it suits me just fine.  NYS boasts it has some of the oldest trees in the state there. And the wildlife almost always comes out to greet me, if there are no hunters around.  Turkeys, muskrats, pheasant, hawk, deer, songbirds galore, owls, it's really a hopping little place if you have the eyes to see.   My little piece of heaven on earth.

A lot of places are nice to be.
I enjoy the swamp lands, especially when I went down to LA to visit some family.  The bayou is nice in its own way.

I kinda miss back home in North Carolina.
The woods out there are fantastic.
Of course, in my own world, its only paradise,
But I still believe the surrounding makes a signifigant energy difference.
I am personally attuned to the woods overall.
Lately its been light snowfall there and i'm missing it >.<

IN two months I get stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, so i'm looking forward to seeing what the area has to offer.
I've never been personally, but people say its pretty nice out there.

Either way,
Wherever you may be,
its always a powerful moment =]

Make the most of the snowy woods.  I grew up in the country, and beside my house there was a beautiful wood with a tree that my brother and I used to climb.  In the Winter, of course, we couldn't climb the tree, but I would put on my thick, warm snowboots and parka and go traipsing through the magickal white woods.  It was like walking through a woodland castle--sort of a Dr. Zhivago thing--and it was easy to imagine the winter woodland folk flitting around the trunks of the trees and in the bare bushes.   Smile

In the summer, I like to set up and practice rituals and spells in my garden, in the winter or when the bears are around, I like to practice at the hearth of my fireplace. My friend has an outdoor deck/garden that's lovely, another friend has a converted closet. When I lived in a city, I found a willow tree in the park and worked under it, I liked it because I was hidden, it was great. Miss that tree. Don't wait for the perfect place though, it will come to you  (flowers)

I've been lucky enough to be able to etch out my own little room for worship.  My old bedroom at my parents house is now a "kids" hide out.  By kids, I mean two 20 year olds and me having to share a space to put our computers, but there's still plenty of room for my altar and all my stuff.  My husband and little brother have always been supportive of my lifestyle choices, so it's no wonder THEY made sure I had enough room.

As far as going anywhere; usually in the backyard.  It's got a beautiful crab apple tree on the other side of the fence that peeks out and provides a lot of shade.  It's a nice place to just sit and relax, especially when it's warm out.  T

Just like the bears, I go in the woods.  My circle is any place there's room to stretch out my arms.  My trusty walking stick is my athame and wand.  The farther fromn the madding crowd I can get, the better.  Sometimes I go out in the middle of the night during a full moon.  Sometimes I go during a thunderstorm.  I just walk until I find a place that feels right, and allow the power of all creation to flow through and around me.  I find formal rituals too distracting.  An intuitive, shamanistic approach works for me.

Blessings.
