In the forum there is a "Profile" button on the top of the page in the phpBB bar. Click it. This will take you to your profile page where you can add a siggie or saying and also an avatar.

The avatar info is at the bottom of the page. You may add your own from your computer, or choose one of the avatars we have here at the site. (NOTE: there are many pages, be sure to click thru them all). The avatars you use for messenger work well, if you decide to use one from your machine.

For your siggie, if you choose to have a graphic as your siggie, you will need to use a place like Photo Bucket and store you pic there.

I have found some awesome avatars at Last FM (where our radio station is) juts scroll thru some of themembers there, you will such a wide variety, it is astounding!! Save them to your computer and them upload them here.

Place the URL for the picture inbetween these

[img] INSERT URL FOR PIC HERE[/img]

a graphic placed in a msn group will not work.

Hi Freedom,

When you choose your avatar, click on the "Show Gallery" after you do, about 200-300 avatars will pop up...I have cut all the pages down to one, because no one was choosing them and using their own. The bandwidth can be used in another place that is more useful here in our community. :flower:

Can an avatar be chosen by more than one person?? I was curious. When I was reviewing the new avatars you announced, I didn't find the one I am currently using. As it happens, I like the one I am currently using as it speaks to the little GothGirl inside me. I don't really identify with the frilly fairy images. I am just curious.

I fucked up yesterday and accidentally deleted all the avatars we had in our gallery....you can upload one from your computer if you have one you like, and yes, more than one person can use the same avatar...I haven't figured out how to fix that as of yet....I have added a bunch of avatars, and I apologize for the inconvenience it has caused you...I will try to find some more gothic/darker ones today....

for some reason today quite a few of the avatar images are showing up as small red X's , no picture will show. I don't think I changed anything on my computer, could this be related to your "accident" with the avatars earlier, or should i look deeper in this silly machine?
also i went to download/upload a siggie to use as my avatar and again i just get the red X of doom, same thing what's up?

Dear Lady Elaine,

I have lost the original avatar I chose, and cannot re-locate her.....the little green-haired waif. However, when I have tried to select a new one, or even download one of my own, enev if the profile says I have chosen an avatar, I cannot see one. Now, my profile shows "no avatar selected."

Any suggestions on how to problem-solve this? I really like to have a consistent image for folk to connect with me in this forum.

Thank you for all your hard work on this site! I regret adding to your load. But if I want to solve this little problem, I have to contact those in the know.

Dear Lady Elaine,

I am able to locate and select my favorite green-haired avatar. It will show on my "profile" page for a while, then the image drops off the profile page and I am once again left with "no avatar selected" for my posts. What am I doing incorrectly?? I have tried the same with my own image from my computer with the same results.

Please enlighten me when you have the time.
